Committee asks superintendent for report on school rodent issues

Committee members agreed the issue deserved prompt attention and the motion was seconded by Miss Del Rossi.
The motion passed by roll call with six ayes and one absence. The committee did not adopt immediate remedial spending at the meeting; members said they would want a written report identifying contract terms and options for additional measures so they can consider next steps before school opens.
What happens next: The superintendent’s office will prepare a report on current pest-control arrangements, mitigation efforts and recommended actions for the committee to review at a future meeting.
