Millinocket council approves July warrants, hears airport and community updates

The council approved the presented warrants after the chair called for discussion and found none.
At the meeting, airport representatives identified themselves. "Joe Campbell, airport manager," and "Jeff Campbell, airport manager," noted that the Diamond Doors invoice covers the balance of a hangar door and that delivery is scheduled for the next day. Joe Campbell added that the Sargent payment was a reimbursement for taxiway extension work and that reimbursements were already being received.
The council also approved a set of FY26 wastewater warrants (including one for $1,433.38 dated 06/29/2026 and another for $799.40 dated 07/09/2026) and town warrants (including $54,865.16 and $61,980.43 dated 07/09/2026). Councilors briefly reviewed heavy line items, such as a $44,017.64 payment to Maine Water Company for hydrant service and unemployment insurance through the Maine Municipal Association.
In committee notes, the chair named councilors to the warrant committee for July 23 and mentioned an Age‑Friendly Committee meeting slated for July 14 at 2 p.m. at the library (also available by Zoom). During public comment, Nancy Terrio identified herself, provided her address, and said she will be sworn in by the governor on July 14, restoring representation for District 29.
The council adjourned after a voice vote.
