Monomoy school committee approves student-fund transfers, surplus equipment and $110,437 in prior-year encumbrances

Encumbrances: McMillan explained the fiscal-year process for carrying forward valid FY '26 obligations when invoices arrive after June 30 and said the district has until July 15 to process invoices. "We have until July 15 to get all of our invoices processed for last year," he said. The committee approved encumbrances totaling $110,437.31 to be paid during FY '27; McMillan said early estimates show the district ended the year with a modest surplus.
