Multiple volunteer firefighters resign; council tables acceptance pending legal review after heated public testimony

Former chief Matt Passpour and other volunteers described the department as a tradition that attracts committed community members and warned that bringing attorneys and outside agencies into internal disputes risks weakening volunteer participation.
