Communications and Information Technology Chair Miss Renzi told the Borough of Newfield council on June 11 that a recent school board meeting again raised the topic of regionalization and that School Board member Stephnie Moratelli resigned, leaving a vacancy on the school board.
Renzi said the resignation creates an open seat but the council did not take action at the June 11 meeting; she also reported that the borough’s new website is preparing to launch and thanked responders for a recent repair of a sinkhole on Hazel Avenue.
No further discussion or formal action on the school board vacancy or regionalization was recorded in the minutes; the matter would proceed under the school board’s vacancy procedures or at future meetings as appropriate.
