Board adopts Morris Avenue parking and stop‑control ordinances; one measure draws two 'no' votes

Ordinance No. 4338 rescinds a no‑parking zone and establishes a revised no‑parking zone on a segment of Morris Avenue; it was adopted by roll call after being advertised. Ordinance No. 4339 amends time‑limited parking provisions and other parking prohibitions in the township code and was likewise adopted by roll call.

Ordinance No. 4340 establishes a four‑way stop at the intersection of Heron Road and Morris Avenue, rescinding a prior two‑way stop regulation. Commissioners discussed whether PennDOT had formally signed off on the change; township staff said documentation from PennDOT had not yet been received as of the meeting, though flashing red lights had been installed. The ordinance carried on roll call; during that vote two commissioners — Miss Craig and Mr. Whalen — recorded 'no' votes, while the remainder voted 'yes.' The president declared the ordinance duly adopted.

A commissioner thanked staff and noted project delays awaiting PennDOT; another commissioner asked whether the stop‑control change had led to any new accidents and staff reported none to date. The board provided no additional amendments to the ordinances and closed the traffic items.
