Lower Merion Township on July 15 held a badge‑pinning ceremony to welcome seven new officers into the Lower Merion Police Department.
Superintendent Andy Block opened the ceremony and introduced the new officers, which the department identified as Farron Connolly, Connor Donovan, Anthony Goodman, Sebastian Tenland, Liam Whitholm, Anthony Woodlock and Tendat Vu. Township Manager Ernie McNeely thanked families and described the department as a “family of township employees” with training and equipment to support officers.
Magisterial District Judge John McMahon administered the oath of office. Superintendent Block and township leaders recognized department command staff and three new police chaplains; family members assisted with badge pinning. The board president and commissioners thanked staff and the officers for their service.
The ceremony concluded with a brief reception for families and guests. No board action was required; the meeting resumed afterward for regular business.
