The High Point Finance Committee voted on and approved a series of resolutions, contract awards and project amendments at its July 16 meeting. Items approved included a conveyance of four city parcels to Community Housing Solutions of Guilford for infill affordable housing; multiple vendor contracts for information technology, network core replacement and cybersecurity; a pressing-need hauling contract for wastewater biosolids while the city’s incinerator is out of service; several fleet purchases; and a set of facility and street maintenance contracts.
The committee recorded motions and seconders for each agenda item and, as reflected in the meeting record, each motion was adopted with no recorded opposition. Key approvals included a resolution to convey parcels in the Southside community to Community Housing Solutions, an AMI contract change order to cover tariffs, awards for tree trimming and striping contracts, IT managed services and Cisco Nexus core replacement, renewal of ThreatLocker endpoint security, an amendment to the East Side Wastewater Treatment Plant UV project contract, ratification of a McGill Environmental hauling contract for biosolids, and multiple fleet and facilities purchases and service agreements.
Because the meeting’s minutes show motions and vocal “Aye” responses and no recorded “No” votes for the listed items, those agenda items were passed as presented. For each agenda item, the appropriate city official was authorized to execute necessary documents or proceed with procurement steps as required.
