Ethics committee leaves state benefit and loan disclosure list unchanged; DNR reclassifies eight programs

At its Nov. 12 meeting the Alaska Legislative Ethics Committee conducted its annual review of state benefit and loan programs that require disclosure and approved the 2025 list with no additions or deletions.
Chair Deb Fancher told members there were no proposed additions or deletions for 2025 but that the Department of Natural Resources had moved eight programs from the Economic Development Division to the Division of Investments. Conner Thomas confirmed that the programs remain on the disclosure list but under a different division. Representative Sara Hannan recommended that Administrator Kevin Reeve alert legislators and staff about the division change during training so that disclosure forms are not filled out with outdated division names.
The committee did not alter the set of programs that require disclosure; members discussed ensuring training and communication materials reflect the new DNR division assignments to avoid clerical errors on future disclosures.
