Resident alleges decades-long misconduct, asks Black Hawk County supervisors to investigate

At the July 14 meeting of the Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors, public commenter Aaron Stacy Roberts said he has not “been receiving” “liberty and justice for all” for more than two decades and urged the board to investigate alleged criminal conduct he attributes to local officials.
Roberts, who gave his address as 411 Almond Street, told supervisors he believes a “coordinated rights violation” has involved members of local law enforcement and other officials. He said the pattern includes what he described as a sexual assault of his daughter in Urbandale tied back to Waterloo and named several individuals in the course of his remarks. He also said he was once placed into a psychiatric setting after reporting wrongdoing and that he is currently pursuing an appeal in the Supreme Court regarding a farmland sale he says occurred without notice.
Roberts referenced legal obligations he said apply to county attorneys and judicial officials and asked the board to ensure his complaints are investigated rather than ignored. He cited a court reference he called “Bridal versus Maryland” and said he plans federal litigation and has paperwork ready if local officials will not act.
The board did not take any formal action on Roberts’s remarks during the meeting; supervisors thanked him for speaking and moved on to the next agenda item. No county official offered a response on the record during the meeting to substantiate or dispute his allegations.
