The resolution recognized Dahlke’s long service, grant-seeking efforts, compliance work that helped the county maintain federal funding eligibility, and contributions mentoring other engineers. The commission ratified the resolution by voice vote and presented a framed copy.
Dahlke, who accepted the recognition, thanked the commission. Commissioners offered personal remarks: several praised his grant work, his role in improving road safety and compliance with federal mandates, and his institutional knowledge. The chair and multiple commissioners noted that Clay Phillips will step into engineer responsibilities; commissioners encouraged a smooth transition and urged continued work on major projects already underway.
