The City of McCall on July 16 adopted a package of airport updates including an ordinance setting a 10 mph vehicle speed limit, prohibiting tailgating through airport gates, clarifying dumpster use and updating minimum operating standards.
Airport superintendent Jerry Bison told council the changes codify a 10 mph vehicle speed limit on airport property, prohibit piggybacking or tailgating through gates, and require that dumpsters serve only hangar-generated waste with lids closed at all times. The council suspended rules, read Ordinance 10-39 by title and voted to adopt it.
Earlier in the airport segment the council approved Sawtooth Flying Service’s request to install a card-lock reader and sell self‑serve fuel 24 hours a day; the airport advisory committee had recommended the proposal. Jerry also presented updates to airport minimum standards; Resolution 26-25 adds modern flight-planning and communications language, references FAA guidance for fuel dispensing, and specifies environmental controls such as stormwater pollution-prevention and spill-response measures for both full-service and self-service fueling.
Council members voted to adopt the ordinance and the resolution; votes were recorded as carried.
