Planning and Zoning Commission holds officer nominations and approves routine items

Committee member (speaker 3) nominated Mark Lyon for board chair, and Committee member (speaker 2) seconded the nomination. Committee member (speaker 3) then nominated Tiffany Cordova as vice chair; Chair (speaker 1) seconded. The chair acknowledged the nominations and thanked members for their confidence.
The commission voted to accept the staff report after a motion by Committee member (speaker 3) and a second by Committee member (speaker 2). The commission also voted to approve the minutes from the June 10 regular meeting after a motion by Committee member (speaker 2) and a second by Committee member (speaker 3).
Staff reported that on June 16 the Board of County Commissioners approved a temporary use permit for Shane and Andrea Ellsworth for a temporary dwelling with a hardship exception, with Planning and Zoning Commission recommended conditions. Staff also said training for the commission will be scheduled for the next meeting when all members can attend.
The chair closed the meeting after a motion to adjourn.
