Audit and continuity-of-operations update: agency accepted cybersecurity recommendations; COOP to be submitted for rating

Adrian briefed the committee on recent oversight and preparedness work. He said a Legislative Post Audit cybersecurity review conducted about six months earlier produced a favorable report; auditors suggested a few policy updates and corrections to out-of-date contacts, and agency staff accepted those recommendations.
Adrian also described the continuity-of-operations plan (COOP), a yearly requirement tied to a governor's executive order. He said staff recently ran training scenarios and that Andy will lead COOP revisions; the agency intends to submit the COOP to the Department of Emergency Management Services in January or February for review and a rating.
Adrian said auditors are likely to return in February or March to verify implementation of recommended changes. The committee asked staff to coordinate follow-up between auditors and the continuity planning work where relevant.
