Loomis short-term rental owners ask council to place enforcement and TOT discussion on future agenda

"We would love to give back to the community," she said, adding that recent enforcement notices requiring immediate closure left existing bookings in jeopardy.
Jennifer Finley and Kippy Soderlund also described multi-year, high-rated hosting histories and urged a collaborative process to find common-sense rules rather than abrupt enforcement. Town staff said legal counsel is reviewing next steps and that the topic is "on the radar" for a future policy discussion.
Why it matters: Several hosts said short-term rentals contribute economically to downtown businesses and provide visitor lodging not otherwise available; neighbors and other residents have previously raised concerns about noise and nuisance. Council asked staff and legal counsel to follow up and indicated the item may return for formal policy discussion.
