Austin Painter, project manager, updated the council on progress toward sale and disposition of the 177-acre tract adjoining several property owners. Painter said the surveyor has been on-site, the preliminary plat in the council packet shows boundary adjustments and finalized square footage for each sale or boundary-line change, and he expects to send the materials to attorneys for deed and closing documents.
Painter said five adjoining property owners have signed letters of commitment to sell and that attorney review and signatures from all parties will be the primary driver of the timetable. He asked anyone with questions to contact him directly.
Councilors and staff discussed timing; one council member said the matter could be resolved in roughly a month pending deed work and attorney action. Staff emphasized that the pace will depend on the law firm's readiness to finalize documents.
