Planning commission approves addition of $75 Public Arts Review Board application fee to fee schedule

The Planning Commission on July 16 recommended approval of text amendment TA2026-02 to amend the City of Forest Park planning and community development fee schedule to include a $75 application fee for items submitted to the newly created Public Arts Review Board.
Staff said the fee is intended to offset administrative costs associated with processing applications, coordinating reviews and scheduling items for the Public Arts Review Board. The proposed change amends the fee schedule identified in City Code Title 8, Chapter 7, Article G, section 8-781 to incorporate the $75 charge.
Commissioners had no extended discussion. A motion to add the Public Arts Review Board application fee of $75 to the planning department’s fee schedule was moved, seconded and approved by the commission. The recommendation will be transmitted to mayor and council for final adoption and incorporation into the city fee schedule.
Staff noted the fee is administrative and not expected to affect public health, safety or welfare.
