Board approves league membership, LTFM contribution, data-access designees and election resolution

At its meeting the White Bear Lake Area Schools board approved several operational resolutions that district staff described as routine but necessary for compliance and program participation.
The board renewed the district's membership in the Minnesota State High School League for 2026–27 after Superintendent Wayne Kaczmarek said board members had reviewed required 'why we play' training and membership materials that outline school responsibilities. "Each school board member has reviewed the why we play training video and required membership materials provided by the league," Kaczmarek said.
The board also approved the district's proportionate share (9.3% or $55,703) of the Northeast Metro 916 Intermediate School District long-term facility maintenance budget; Miss Johnson explained the allocation method and noted the LTFM allocation is consistent with last year. That resolution passed by roll call, recorded as 6–0.
The board designated identified officials to manage external user access for Minnesota Department of Education systems, approving Wayne Kaczmarek (superintendent) and Rachel Markerson (executive assistant) to add and remove users as required by state IT standards. The election-related resolution calling the school district general election (resolution provided by elections attorney Peter Martin of Kennedy & Graven) was also approved by voice vote.
Finally, the board approved updates to policies 5.15 and 6.05 by voice vote. Where roll-call votes were recorded, actions were unanimous; a number of routine items were approved by voice vote as noted in the meeting record.
