City manager and operational updates
City Manager Elaine reported the next regular meeting will be July 16 at 7:30 p.m., offices will be closed June 19 (Juneteenth) and July 3, and the city will host a shredding event on Saturday, July 11 (9–11 a.m.) at the Clayton Government Center. She also reported Westbrook Road will be closed beginning June 8 between Union Road and Hoke Road for culvert installation (a joint project with Trotwood) and is expected to be closed about three weeks. The manager gave an update on sanitary sewer work and utility pole relocation on Hoke Road, noting a gas main was struck but repaired quickly; the project is expected to finish in November. The manager also described Frontier's permitted fiber‑optic work in the right of way and asked residents to report issues to staff so the city can follow up.
