Board hears donations, staffing updates and a referenced Oregon City data‑center meeting

Operations staff reported several projects on schedule, including Chromebook purchases, school‑bus work, asphalt repairs and HVAC upgrades, and noted small projects to finish before the school year begins.
Separately, staff drew trustees' attention to a newspaper article about an Oregon City council meeting and a potential July 28 exchange between the city and a developer over a data‑center master plan. A staff member recommended trustees read the article and said details in the coverage may include editorial interpretation. The superintendent said some facts remain unclear and staff will watch for more information.
The board confirmed a possible work session in the first week of August (discussed as August 4 around mid‑afternoon) and set the regular August meeting for August 11 at 6 p.m.
