Premier Lakes reports maintenance improvements; compressor noise reduced but tone and Edgewater planting remain under review

Bill Kurth of Premier Lakes told the River Ridge Board the lakes, preserves and dry retention areas are in good shape and that seasonal algae growth had been observed. He said a cabinet installed around the compressor at the Masters Lake reduced the sound level from about 64 to 52 decibels, which he described as an acceptable reduction.
Operations Manager Shane Willis said the concern is not only the decibel level but the "tone" of the aerator and recommended evaluating whether moving the compressor would be a better solution. Mr. Willis will coordinate with Bill and Alex Kurth and report findings at the next meeting.
Chair Bob Schultz summarized related flooding and shoreline concerns in the Edgewater area—discussing piping, additional littorals for Lake E-4A and rip‑rap—and noted a draft letter to the Edgewater Condo Association. The Board agreed that Cana lilies should not be planted and that planting in Lake E4‑A will be delayed until an agreement with the Edgewater Association is reached; staff will resubmit any plantings proposal after that coordination.
Mr. Kurth left the call during the meeting; no formal vote or contract award related to the compressor or Edgewater plantings was recorded that day.
