River Ridge supervisors approved a $105,000 contract with My AV‑Tech LLC to install three permanent 15‑inch solar-powered digital speed radar signs and one mobile unit, including cloud traffic devices.
Shane Willis presented the long-term plan and cost estimates. Eric Long told the board an existing unit had clocked about 800 varied speeding violations over a three-week period, a statistic cited as justification for adding and repositioning devices. Willis said the district will purchase poles from Paramount Asphalt for about $1,200 each to relocate units as needed.
On a motion by Bob Schultz, seconded by Kurt Blumenthal, the board approved AV‑Tech Estimates 24150 and 24151 to wire and install the permanent and mobile signs and to subscribe to cloud devices at $1,500 per device per year. The motion carried with all supervisors in favor.
The board discussed having the homeowners association assume cloud device costs going forward and offset those costs with covenant traffic-fine revenues issued by PSGRC.
