Woolwich extends summer office hours through September, will track daily resident visits

The Woolwich Township Committee on Aug. 19 agreed to extend summer office hours through September and to collect data on daily resident visits to each department while the township explores whether to make seasonal hours permanent.
An employee emailed asking for year-round summer hours; Administrator Jim Watson reported he had begun researching office-hour policies in other Gloucester County municipalities. Committeeman Frederick suggested the administrator also check for late-hour usage patterns in nearby towns. The Committee directed Watson to form a subcommittee and to track daily resident visits for each department to inform any further action.
The temporary extension runs through September, after which the Committee will review the collected data before deciding whether to adopt year-round changes. No final policy change was voted at the Aug. 19 meeting.
