Road Superintendent John Tipton reported two entrance permits were issued in May, the Cambridge Avenue rehab was completed (curb, road base repairs, two‑inch overlay, backfilling, grading and seeding), paving has begun in the Hillers subdivision, a crossroad culvert replacement was completed on NW 39th Street, and multiple driveway culverts were replaced. He also noted that right‑of‑way mowing is ongoing (third pass) and that sign theft has increased.
Administrator Audree Guzman said concrete core samples were scheduled at the Road Maintenance Shop on June 10, a design‑build kickoff for the new fire station occurred June 6, an open house is planned for October, and work on the 2026 budget will be presented at the August meeting. Guzman also noted an RNR notice to the county is due in July and that she has been spending one day a month with each fire shift since April.
