Immediately afterward, Jerry DeWeese moved to continue Jacobs’s suspension with pay until the board takes further action; David McComb seconded that motion, and it also carried.
The special session, called to order by board president Rex Robinson at 6:30 a.m., included three separate executive sessions attended by administrators and the business manager. The motions to go into closed session were made by Jerry DeWeese and seconded by Nicole Curtis; in each instance the board cited the need to protect the privacy interests of an identifiable individual and the district’s negotiating position. Administrators and Business Manager Dave Schmidt were invited to attend those executive sessions, according to the board’s public minutes.
Superintendent Becca Flowers and school principals Steven Novotny and Diane House were listed as present for the special session in the published attendance.
