Knox County commissioners approve student recognitions, Danville Hamby Road safety bid and utility permits

A commissioner moved to approve the letters and the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
The board then approved a bid award for the Danville Hamby Road safety improvement (Phase 3) to Small Asphalt Paving in the amount of $272,457.30 after a motion and second; commissioners approved the item by voice vote.
Utility permits: commissioners approved a utility permit for Ohio Covering Gas on Hazeldell Road in Butler Township and an additional utility permit on Tiger Valley Road in Union Township. Both permits were moved, seconded and passed by voice votes.
Project updates: staff reported the transit/business center drywall installation is progressing and that site work for the water/wastewater building is underway; the contractor estimated completion by the end of November, noting significant site work was the current schedule driver.
