Twin Valley to provide park and pool Wi‑Fi; Solomon Community Fund donates toward festival sound system

Twin Valley agreed to provide public Wi‑Fi at the city park and the municipal pool and requested the city allow Twin Valley signage at each location; Councilmember Kelley Vandecreek moved to approve the installation and signage and the motion passed 4-0. Council and staff discussed potential Wi‑Fi equipment locations at the pool.
Separately, the Solomon Community Fund donated $800 toward a recommended $1,400 stage sound system to be shared by the city and the Solomon Festival. Council accepted the donation and authorized the city to pay half of the remaining cost not to exceed $300; the motion passed 4-0.
Festival organizers indicated the Solomon Festival is scheduled for July 18–19, and council discussed road closures, food trucks and a Whiskey Wagon mobile bar request for one night in the park.
