Commission awards SWAT building bid, rescinds jail dietician and food contracts and authorizes new food-service bidding

Separately, the commission voted to rescind an April 22 dietician contract for the jail and to rescind the Summit Food contract previously approved on April 14. Following those rescissions the board authorized Sheriff Billy Murray to solicit bids for a new food-service vendor for the jail.
Commissioners said the awards and rescissions were part of routine procurement oversight; the SWAT building award will proceed once legal review and funding are confirmed, and the sheriff will proceed with the procurement process for jail food service.
