Logan View Board elects 2026 officers, approves teacher agreement and extends superintendent's contract

The Board of Education of Logan View Public Schools met Jan. 12 in the Logan View Jr./Sr. High School library and elected its 2026 officers, approved a new employee negotiated agreement and extended the superintendent's contract.
Nominations for board president produced the election of Chad Rebbe. The motion to nominate Rebbe was moved by Brandon Wobken and seconded by Houston Moseman; nominations were closed and Rebbe was elected on a paper vote, 9-0. The board then elected Brandon Wobken as vice president by a 9-0 paper vote. Kris Kremke and Houston Moseman were the two candidates for secretary; after closing nominations Kris Kremke was elected secretary by a paper vote of 7-2.
On the consent agenda, the board approved minutes from Dec. 8 and Dec. 22, 2025, claims and accounts and financial reports; designated the superintendent as the authorized representative for state and federal programs and E-rate and as Affirmative Action Coordinator and Title I representative; and appointed Teri Kreifels as at-will board treasurer. That motion passed 9-0.
Later in the meeting the board approved the 2026–2027 negotiated agreement as presented; the motion carried 9-0. The board also voted to add the 2027–2028 school year to the superintendent's contract on a 9-0 vote.
Superintendent Taylor opened the meeting, provided a district report including the 2024–2025 Nebraska Education Profile and a legislative update, and confirmed there were no members of the public in attendance. The board set its next regular meeting for Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting adjourned at 10:13 p.m.
