USD 297 Board accepts volleyball coaches' resignations, hires paraprofessional

The USD 297 Board accepted two resignation notices and approved a new paraprofessional hire during its Dec. 5 special meeting.
Superintendent Penka presented the personnel items: Talley Morrow resigned from her position as high school assistant volleyball coach, and ShayLinn Zweygardt resigned from her position as high school head volleyball coach. The board also approved the hire of Tiffani Graham as a half high school, half elementary school paraprofessional.
Chris Hingst, committee member, moved to accept the two resignations and the new hire; Shawna Blanka, committee member, seconded the motion and it carried. The transcript does not record individual roll-call votes or provide reasons for the resignations.
The board additionally noted that six contracts were returned for signature, rescheduled the next regular meeting for Dec. 18, 2024 at 7:00 a.m., and adjourned at 8:15 a.m.
