St. George council hears update: water leaks fixed, multiple projects ready for tender, CCP audit complete

A separate procurement item, a tender for a 'Blade & Wing,' is under public procurement review and may be posted on MERX. An agreement for a consultant is ready for committee review and signing.
On audit matters, the council was informed that the CCP audit for 2024 is complete and "needs to be accepted," while the main audit remains in progress. Council was also told that staff attended a Water Works seminar (manager, lead hand and assistant lead hand); the office had asked why it was being attended.
Other operational notes: an Oversite-committee meeting with Atlas Salt is scheduled for May 9 and the town applied for $7,000 in CCP funding for a Highway Signage Project, with a cost breakdown reported as $6,000 for the project plus $1,000 HST. No formal votes on these specific project tenders or the consultant agreement were recorded at the meeting.
