Because that notice was not issued, the second reading scheduled for July 20 must be rescheduled; staff said August 10 is the expected date.
Moltene said staff had scrambled to correct the omission and that the planning commission and other stakeholders will be informed; board members discussed holding a brief overview of the zoning changes at an upcoming meeting to prepare commissioners for the substantial ordinance updates. Moltene also announced his departure from the city staff on July 29.
Board members did not take formal action on the ordinance at this meeting and the item will return after the corrected public‑notice process is completed.
