Administrator Mike Mogus presented Change Order No. 1 from Jeremy Kumm of Dirt Road Construction that increases the cost of the Sidewalk Project by $19,524. The change order covers sidewalk width adjustments, unforeseen removal of existing sidewalk beneath sidewalk, added equipment rental and construction of a second retaining wall at South Main Street and Kerri Avenue. The state granted a completion extension through June 30, 2026.
Council Member John Geiser moved to approve Change Order No. 1 and Council Member Dolen seconded; the motion carried with Dolen, Geiser and Hansen voting aye (Brenn absent). The council later approved Dirt Road Construction’s third payment request, dated Nov. 18, 2025, in the amount of $31,563.
The project is funded with remaining Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. Mogus presented the change order and payment request as part of routine project administration; no additional funding source changes were made during the meeting.
The city will proceed under the new project budget and the state-approved timeline; staff will continue to report project progress to the council.
