Cael Johnson won the Class C 300-meter hurdles in 37.93 seconds at the state meet, setting both a Class C state and meet record, the 7-12 principal reported to the Wakefield Board of Education on June 15, 2026.
Johnson also placed fifth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.95 seconds and took third place in the 400-meter dash, according to the principal's year-end report to the board. The principal listed those results during the boards regular report section.
The boys 1,600-meter relay team—Colt Johnson, Cael Johnson, Mason Lamprecht and Jacob Borg—finished sixth overall with a time of 3:25.99, and the boys team placed ninth in the team standings. The principal also noted individual performances: Rylee Reaves competed in the shot put for the first time as a sophomore, Colt Johnson placed ninth in the triple jump as a freshman, Mason Lamprecht competed in the long jump and the 200-meter dash, and Benny Palma ran the 3,200-meter event; the principal characterized these results as strong showings.
The principal presented these items as part of a broader Board of Education report at the June 15 meeting; no board action was recorded on the athletic results.
