Wallace trustees adopt ordinance to vacate alley in Harpers Addition

The Village of Wallace Board of Trustees adopted Ordinance 2026-001 on July 14, 2026, to vacate the alley described as Lots 1–18, Block 2, Harpers Addition. Trustee Tina Daniels moved to adopt the ordinance and Trustee John May seconded; the board voted 4–0 in favor.
The ordinance had its reading during the meeting and trustees voted earlier to waive the second and third readings. Trustee John May moved to waive the additional readings, and Trustee Tina Daniels seconded; that procedural motion passed 4–0, clearing the way for immediate consideration and adoption.
Board Chair Madisen Messersmith Clough presided over the action. Trustee Brian Banks was absent. The board did not record public testimony on the ordinance in the meeting minutes. The ordinance was recorded as adopted at the July 14 meeting; the board set its next regular meeting for August 12, 2026.
