The Cozad Community Schools Board voted unanimously Nov. 17 to enter a closed session at 8:15 p.m. "for the protection of the public interest and to conduct a strategy session with respect to collective bargaining and negotiations," the minutes state.
Will Geiger moved the motion and Stacey Mundell seconded; the vote was recorded as 5–0. President Kiley Goff later declared the meeting back in open session at 9:41 p.m.
After resuming open session, the board handled agenda‑setting items and adjourned at 9:56 p.m. The minutes do not record discussions that occurred during the closed session, consistent with limitations on public disclosure for strategy sessions on collective bargaining under the Nebraska Open Meetings Act.
