The board received a technology update from Mrs. Wolfe during its Jan. 12 meeting focusing on device planning for 2026–27 and federal support available through the E-Rate program.
Mrs. Wolfe outlined planned purchases for staff computers, student Chromebooks and iPads for primary grades and noted that the district plans equipment on a typical five-year replacement cycle. She described E-Rate funding that can provide an 80% federal discount on eligible broadband internet access, telecommunications services and internal connections such as Wi‑Fi, routers and cabling. Mrs. Wolfe also discussed internal server updates and planned camera system replacements to maintain infrastructure and safety systems.
Board members did not amend policy or approve specific purchases during the meeting; funding and procurement steps will be managed by district technology and finance staff and may come back for formal board approval if required.
