Wakefield council approves consent agenda and claims, adjourns special meeting

At the April 1 special meeting the Wakefield City Council approved the consent agenda and payables (noting the clerk’s upcoming Easter vacation and the quick turnaround to the April 8 meeting), heard no public comments, and adjourned at 5:43 P.M.
Council member Geiser moved to approve the consent agenda as presented; Council member Hansen seconded and Council members Brenn, Geiser and Hansen voted aye, carrying the motion. Because of the quick turnaround from month-end to the April 8 regular meeting and Clerk Pam Vander Veen’s Easter vacation, several claims were presented at the special session. Clerk Vander Veen thanked Council member Hansen for reviewing the payables. Council member Hansen moved to approve the claims as presented; Council member Brenn seconded. The council voted 3-0 to approve the claims.
No public comments were offered during the meeting. With no further business Council member Geiser moved to adjourn at 5:43 P.M.; Council member Brenn seconded and the motion carried.
