The Charles Town Planning Commission on May 27 recommended that city council release a performance bond for the Norborn Phase 14B subdivision in the amount of $819,036. Chair opened the item as unfinished business and asked for a staff report.
James, a city staff member, told the commission the land-disturbance bond had already been released by city council and that the outstanding issue in the phase involved several street lights that have since been resolved. "The item has been re-reviewed by the city's engineering firm, and they've also recommended that the bond be released," James said.
A commissioner moved to recommend council approve the performance-bond release and the motion was seconded. The commission approved the recommendation by voice vote.
The recommendation will be forwarded to city council for final action; the commission did not take the final release itself. No conditions or follow-up tasks were recorded at the meeting.
