An agency official summarized the package to commissioners: "The the badge printer and ID marker that we use for emergency operations; the second being for the technology in the MEOC; the third is a portable radio cache for EM; and the last one is for the hazmat team itself," and said staff were available to answer questions.
Commissioners discussed the usual administrative step of signing and initialing the award documents. A motion to approve and sign the Homeland Security Grant subawards passed by voice vote. The chair and designated county officials will sign and initial each original page as required by the grant documents.
Next steps: county officials will execute the original grant documents and proceed with procurement or implementation of the four subaward projects as directed by grant terms.
