Theresa and staff reported that senior food-bag distribution rose from 19 in April to 27 in June and frozen-meat distribution increased from 64 to 86. The authority coordinates with county and police donations of MREs and weekly volunteer-run showers and clothing distribution in the parking lot. Gift cards and in-kind donations are being tracked to support grant applications.
Board members asked clarifying questions about how offline HUD relocations and HUD demolition (demo) statuses convert to Section 8 vouchers; staff confirmed units marked for demo receive HUD relocation and Section 8 vouchers so households remain in subsidized housing but may leave the public-housing inventory.
The board thanked staff for the reports and noted auditors were on site for the fiscal-year close.
