On personnel, Vice Chairman Geyen moved to approve Johan Massmann as one of the township head election judges at his past wage; Supervisor Forsman seconded and the motion carried 3-0.
The board approved two township subcontractors, Schmitz Excavating and Wruck Excavation. Chairman Mike Helman moved the approval and Supervisor Forsman seconded; the minutes record the motion carried 2-0 with Vice Chairman Geyen abstaining.
Chairman Helman also reported on a meeting he and Supervisor Christensen had with Security Bank and Trust about investment options. The board authorized opening a money-market account with an initial $500 deposit while keeping the existing CorTrust account open; the vote was 3-0 in favor.
The board discussed proposed door-alarm upgrades for township doors, with Vice Chairman Geyen and Supervisor Forsman expressing concern about the proposed prices. The board decided to table the alarm-upgrade item pending review of lower-cost alternatives.
