On public-works maintenance, the board reviewed crack-filling quotes and approved spending of up to $30,000 to complete crack-filling work on township roads; Christensen moved, Nelson seconded, and the motion carried 4-0.
The meeting also addressed two personnel decisions. Helman presented results from interviews for the clerk/treasurer position and recommended the highest-scoring candidate. Supervisor Andy Christensen moved that Helman extend an offer to the top candidate at $28.00 per hour for six months, with a favorable review at six months to increase pay to $30.00 per hour; the motion included a condition that 16 hours of PTO not be usable during the first six months. Supervisor Sandy Forsman seconded; the minutes record the motion as carried 3-0 with Supervisor Ryan Nelson abstaining. The minutes state that the candidate name will be announced once a formal offer is accepted.
Helman and Chris Kline presented information from the maintenance candidate interview. Supervisor Ryan Nelson moved to extend an offer of up to $35.00 per hour to the maintenance candidate; Supervisor Andy Christensen seconded, and the motion carried 4-0. The minutes say the candidate name will be announced after the formal offer is accepted.
