Metropore Chamber CEO reviews regional programs, urges civic participation in county advocacy days

Sally Aldridge, chief executive officer of the Metropore Chamber, delivered the chamber's "state of the chamber" address to the Haslet HCEDC on July 15, presenting the organization's annual report for the year ending Dec. 31, 2025 and summarizing regional programs and outreach.
Aldridge told the board the chamber connects the alliance region's communities and offers networking, education, promotion and advocacy for businesses of all sizes. "We've been connecting the alliance regions since 1988," she said, noting the chamber's upcoming 40th anniversary in two years and a slate of recurring programs that include membership luncheons, an Alliance Development Forum, a golf classic and a Lone Star legislative report in the fall.
She described member-facing services — a relocation guide, a member directory, in-house marketing support and incubator office space — and digital outreach statistics (a members-only group, a public Facebook following and new Instagram activity). Aldridge encouraged board members to participate in Denton and Tarrant County Days in Austin during the next legislative session cycle to raise local priorities with legislators. "I encourage you to consider doing it," she said of the two-county events, which Aldridge said provide opportunities to meet legislators while bills are being shaped.
Board members asked for examples of past legislative topics and for clarification of county-day logistics. Aldridge cited transportation, health care, education and vouchers as matters the chamber has raised, and said the chamber will share event details and block hotel rooms for participants when dates are finalized.
The presentation packet included the chamber's membership investment breakdown, relocation guide and an overview of services; Aldridge offered to follow up with staff to help local businesses and the EDC leverage chamber resources.
The board did not take action on the presentation; the session proceeded to the economic-development report and budget discussion.
