Mount Kisco ARB unanimously approves signs, solar, building addition and new storage building
Summary
The Mount Kisco Architectural Review Board on March 19 approved applications for two ground signs at Michael’s Nursery, rooftop solar at one residence, an addition to Reliable Auto and a new commercial storage building; minutes for Feb. 19 were also adopted. One solar application was held pending a revised layout.
The Mount Kisco Architectural Review Board unanimously approved four applications and adopted minutes during its March 19 meeting in the Frank J. DiMicco Board Room.
John Oliva of C&M Sign Company presented renderings for two ground signs for Michael’s Nursery at 128-152 N Bedford Road (Case ARB25-08). Dan Gagliardi moved to approve the signage; Nicholas Bagley seconded. The motion passed by unanimous vote, recorded in the minutes as "All ayes."
Mark Gearing of Go Power Solutions presented plans for rooftop solar at 33 Ward Avenue (Case ARB25-09). Andy Gonzalez moved to approve the residential solar installation; James Vallejos seconded and the board voted unanimously to approve the project.
R. Scott Fischer of Reliable Auto presented architectural plans for an addition to the right side of the commercial building at 21 Cary Place (Case ARB25-11). Nicholas Bagley moved to approve; Dan Gagliardi seconded. The motion carried with all board members voting in favor.
Frank Weber of GMA Architects presented renderings and plans for a new commercial building at 2 Morgan Drive for Mt Kisco Self Storage (Case ARB25-12). Dan Gagliardi moved to approve; Andy Gonzalez seconded and the board voted unanimously to approve the project.
The board also approved the minutes of its Feb. 19, 2025 meeting. Andy Gonzalez moved to adopt the minutes, with James Vallejos seconding; the minutes reflect four ayes. Nicholas Bagley was recorded as not present for the February meeting and therefore did not vote on those minutes.
Assistant Building Inspector Bill Seegmuller was listed in staff present; the minutes record no additional conditions or contingencies beyond the approvals. The board adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
