The Anchorage City Council convened its regular meeting Feb. 9, 2026, in a session called to order by Mayor Neil Ramsey at 6:00 p.m. Council members Matt Delehanty, Karin Tyrer, Bill Wetherton and Hunter Wilson were present; Diane Cook and Patrick McMahon were absent.
Hunter Wilson moved to approve the Jan. 12, 2026 regular meeting minutes; Matt Delehanty seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes record the council’s unanimous vote but do not list an individual roll-call-by-name for the tally; present members recorded in the attendance list are Delehanty, Tyrer, Wetherton and Wilson.
In new business the council recorded receipt of an annual compliance certification for the Bellewood & Brooklawn campus stating the property was vacated and closed on September 8, 2025. Mayor Ramsey remarked the property is for sale; the minutes do not record any motion, vote, or council direction regarding the property.
The treasurer’s report noted lower income from investments. The police report and the Historic Preservation Commission report were presented with no questions or concerns noted for Chief Dean Hayes, and the Forestry Board provided no report.
Mayor Ramsey reminded the public that the tax appeal deadline is Feb. 20 and announced the Anchorage Parent Teacher Association Auction scheduled for March 7. Hunter Wilson moved to adjourn; Matt Delehanty seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
The minutes are signed at the end by Mayor Neil Ramsey and City Clerk Reneé M. Major; the attendance list within the minutes names Office Manager/Clerk Angie Chick as an attendee. The minutes do not explain the differing clerk names shown in the attendance list and the signature block.
