At the public forum portion of the May 18 council meeting, Lindsey Freese of Kling Memorial Library announced that the library reached its fundraising goal of $80,000 for a children’s area remodel and said construction has started.
The council heard additional public comments: Jay Duncan of Heart of Iowa said his crew had been cleaning up areas following their fiber-installation work, Rich Ahlberg thanked the streets department for pothole repairs, and CJ Wegmann asked the council for an explanation of a power outage that occurred May 2.
