Council Member Kuester moved and Council Member Mcdonald seconded a motion to waive the special-event permit fee for both programs and asked for an annual update to the council on the activities. The motion carried on a 5–0 vote.
Traeger asked the council to classify the events under Chapter 126 Special Events. Council discussion focused on the educational value and countywide reach of the programs; no permit conditions or funding commitments were recorded at the meeting.
