The Ely City Council approved an interlocal agreement April 10 among White Pine County, the City of Ely and the Justice Court of Ely Township to provide weekend and holiday bail hearings.
Mayor Nathan Robertson asked that the agreement be corrected so Section 2.1 is effective as of Jan. 18, 2025; the council approved the agreement with that corrected effective date. The mayor said he discussed the clause with the city attorney and the change reflects the availability of funds and the intended term date.
The motion passed unanimously. The council did not record individual vote tallies in the meeting minutes.
