Bellemeade commission approves November minutes and accepts treasurer's report showing about $84,000 in revenue

The Bellemeade City Commission on Dec. 10, 2025, unanimously approved the Nov. 10 meeting minutes and accepted the November Treasurer's Report during a meeting at Shelby House Condominiums.
City Clerk/Treasurer Geri Huff reported that November revenue was about $84,000, that recurring expenses were in line with expectations, and that most local taxes were paid by residents. Huff also said insurance premiums were split between October and November and that returns on certificates of deposit were providing positive yields. Mayor James Martin moved to approve the Treasurer's Report; Commissioner Cindy Oppel seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The meeting opened at 7:03 p.m. Mayor James Martin said a Dec. 1 working meeting had been productive. Commissioner Halle Brumleve said the Holiday House contest has been posted on Facebook and that signs will be made to notify the neighborhood. Commissioner Cindy Oppel reported a water leak on South Hampton Road across from her house and noted garbage cans near the TARC bench are full; she said TARC will address pickup. Commissioner Sandy Walker said two potholes on Dorchester and Tristan will be repaired in spring when weather improves. Commissioner Burt Deutsch reported no items this month. Code enforcement has a few outstanding items and commissioners suggested a canvas to follow up.
Earlier in the meeting Commissioner Cindy Oppel moved to approve the Nov. 10 minutes; Commissioner Halle Brumleve seconded and the minutes were approved unanimously.
The commission set a working meeting via Zoom for Jan. 5, 2026, at 7 p.m. and scheduled its regular January meeting in person for Jan. 12, 2026, at 7 p.m. Mayor Martin adjourned the meeting at 7:22 p.m.
